DJ ABLE Hits Tampa January 28-30, 2011
Tampa- GT covered Tampa's first ever circuit party El Gancho during Gasparilla Weekend January 28-30, 2011. An estimated 500,000 people made the trek to Tampa for the Pirate Invasion and Parade along Bayshore Blvd. and downtown Tampa. Local boaters dressed their boats up in pirate decorations and joined the flotilla down the river to the bay and set anchor for the day's events. Attendees came decked out in pirate costumes of all kinds to grab some food and drink from the many local vendors of Tampa. As the parade was nearing, folks packed the route to get the best spot they could find to catch those ever popular Marti gas beads thrown to the crowd from the many lavishly decorated parade floats.
Later that night, Ybor City was the scene for the main event - El Gancho Party at the Ritz Theater. Urban Body and 2(x)ist held a VIP pre-party and fashion show benefiting Metro Wellness and Community Centers. While Tampa's own DJ CK spun live music, party goers enjoyed drinks and local food from the area. The evening’s entertainment commenced with a fashion show with some of the the hottest men in Tampa.
After the VIP party, the boys were ready to dance the night away as world famous DJ ABLE took the crowd on a wild ride of music, spinning heart bounding tribal beats and diva anthems all night. Through-out the night Power Infiniti entertained hot boys and wild queens with aerial performances and the Bella Danza Dance Company danced on the main stage to a memorized crowd. Big thanks to Manny Alvarez Presents for throwing a fierce party for the gays and what would hope to become a regular event every year in Tampa for Gasprailla. Thanks for coming to our premier circuit event for Tampa! It was a pleasure meeting you guys and thanks for taking amazing pictures of the wonderful event! The whole team that put this together appreciate the outpouring of support and great comments about the El Gancho Party.
