Bears, Leather and Queens - Oh My!
MOBILE, AL – GT managed to attend just one day (Saturday) of the second annual Bleather II weekend event held in historic Mobile, AL on August 6th – 8th, 2010. Combining the leather and bear community, Bleather weekend was chock full of great food, friends, pageantry and drag queens.
Mobile is a beautiful city on the bay; well worth a visit for the oak tree lined streets and palatial architecture alone. Bar hopping was a breeze with three out of the city’s four gay bars located within walking distance of the downtown host hotel. Saturday’s events began with lunch at the Midtown Bar and the festivities continued throughout the evening and late night at Gabriel’s and B-Bob’s downtown.
